During our 6-day trip to LA, we managed to cover a lot of ground while avoiding feeling rushed or stressed. Although we initially considered visiting other California destinations, we decided to focus on LA, as the city is simply too big and too exciting to explore fully in just a few days.
Our 5-day itinerary is packed with must-see attractions, but remember, it’s just a guide. Feel free to adjust it according to your interests and preferences.
Day 1: Hollywood and Griffith Park
Begin your day in the famous Hollywood neighborhood, where you can explore the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, and Dolby Theatre. Then, hike to the Hollywood Sign via Griffith Park for breathtaking views of LA.
Day 2: Museums and Beverly Hills
Start your day at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the La Brea Tar Pits. Afterward, head to the upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood, where you can window shop on Rodeo Drive and enjoy lunch at one of the many fine dining establishments.

Begin your day with a behind-the-scenes look at some of your favorite movies and TV shows on the Warner Bros Studio Tour. This working studio has been the setting for classics like “Casablanca” and “The Maltese Falcon,” as well as modern hits like “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory.”
As you walk the sprawling 110-acre lot, you’ll have the opportunity to see soundstages, backlots, and props up close. You might even run into a few stars!
Hollywood Sign Hike
After the studio tour, take a hike to the iconic Hollywood Sign. The sign, which was originally created as an advertisement for a real estate development, has become synonymous with the glamour and excitement of Hollywood.
There are several trails that lead to the sign, but the most popular is the Mt. Lee Trail. This 3.5-mile round trip hike offers stunning views of the city and a close-up look at the sign. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, as the hike can be strenuous, especially in the summer months.
Griffith Observatory
End your day with a visit to the Griffith Observatory. Located in Griffith Park, the observatory offers incredible views of the city, as well as a variety of exhibits and telescopes for public use.
